Importance of Collaboration
Kelli List Wells discusses the key to creating a successful STEM culture and why it is important for business leaders, government officials and all educators to collaborate through an integrated STEM education.
What students are learning in school and what employers need on the job often are two different things. Its time we break down the silos to turn our students into lifelong learners through integrated STEM to create a deeper understanding of how subjects interconnect and how they relate to the real world. We need to help students understand how math is connected to science and science is connected to literacy so students can develop the skills needed to become problem solvers through creative thinking and design to prepare students for tomorrow’s workforce.
